Cotswold Gold Celebrates Prestigious 3-Star Win at the Great Taste Awards 2024 for Cotswold Whisky Butter We at Cotswold Gold are beyond thrilled to announce that our Cotswold Whisky Butter, a delectable collaboration with the Cotswolds Distillery, has been awarded an esteemed 3-star rating at the Great Taste Awards 2024. Recognised as the world’s most coveted food and drink awards, this accolade highlights the exceptional quality and flavour of our product. Out of 13,672 entries from across the globe, our Cotswold Whisky Butter captivated the judges with its exceptional “flavour, quality, and innovation”. The 3-Star Rating, the highest honour at the Great Taste Awards, is given only to extraordinarily delicious products. Described as “Exquisite” by the Guild of Fine Food, this award is a testament to our dedication to excellence.

• “This whisky butter has a rich, creamy appearance with the classic aroma of whisky. The wonderful creamy texture releases a very well-judged flavour where all the different ingredients are working in harmony to give a very tasty, indulgent, festive butter.”
• “The jar opened to release a good whiff of whisky. The texture is smooth and light. The levels of sugar and whisky are well balanced and the hint of salt is perfect. A delicious product.”

The Whisky Butter is a festive blend of sweetened butter paired with single malt whisky and a hint of sea salt. The wonderful whisky from the Cotswolds Distillery has hints of honey, red fruits, and treacle, making this a truly wonderful pairing. We recommend it be served at room temperature and eaten with mince pies or Christmas pudding. From 13,672 entries entered into Great Taste 2024, only 1.8% of products have gained a 3-star award, so this really puts our product amongst the very best that were tasted by the judges this year. Our success at this year’s awards didn’t stop there. We also won 2 Stars for our Bearnaise Sauce and 1 Star for our Smoked Chilli Mayonnaise, concluding a fantastic haul at this year’s awards. The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink. Over 500 expert judges, including food critics, chefs, and restaurateurs, blind-taste the entries over a rigorous judging process spanning several months.
